Why we do it?
As the decades pass and the world continues its addiction to fossil fuels, powering everything in the economy. It is now evident that time has come we wean off this once cheap source of energy in place of something more sustainable.
This comes as the once cheap fossil fuels become not so cheap anymore after considering the devastating Climate Change occurring because of its use. The negative impact of Climate Change from Fossil Fuels on the economy far outweigh the benefits.
Because of this, the world has been actively searching for more sustainable alternatives to power our lives.
Recently, we have come to an agreement and support the global energy transition from a world powered by Fossil Fuels to one only powered by Renewable Electricity and Hydrogen.
Malaysia is in a good position, here in South East Asia for the start of this Global Transition. Having the potential to be a global leader in Hydrogen production and supply. First in Blue Hydrogen from Methane and Natural Gas, then to Green Hydrogen from our huge potential in Renewable Electricity from Solar, Hydroelectric and the abundance of excess fresh water.
At the 2015 COP21 in Paris, 195 countries agreed to limit global warming to 2oC above pre-industrial levels
To reach this target the world must cut
60% of energy-related carbon
dioxide (CO2) emissions by 2050-
even as population grows by more than two billion people.
